What was Helen wearing??

I'm pretty sure little Jane Pauley was wearing a little skirt suit when I stood behind her at Citerella, but I was so surprised to see her I was probably hallucinating!Kittyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13260829805068114560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222523593258151872.post-59752305700677699432008-02-16T17:17:00.000-05:002008-02-16T17:17:00.000-05:00Back in the early 90s, I was leaving the Hearst Ma...Back in the early 90s, I was leaving the Hearst Magazines office after interviewing someone there, and as the two of us walked out of the elevator and around the corner, I literally bumped into Helen Gurley Brown, the Cosmo editor, nearly knocking the poor woman off her heels! If it weren't for the guy I was interviewing -- who gallantly caught her by the elbow -- she would have take a tumble.

I was mortified.Spandrel Studioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05782425263902619415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222523593258151872.post-17560986171182002762008-02-16T16:12:00.000-05:002008-02-16T16:12:00.000-05:00good memory, Fish.Yes, she appeared in Cabaret. I bet they are all diving into alley ways and places like that as you approach.

I never see anyone either. I am not good with people out of context - so if I see someone famous I tend to think it is someone I actually know and do daft things like say "hello" and then think "um, I know them. Are they from the ski club or the school?" Then realise they are someone famous.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222523593258151872.post-49055357964639435542008-02-16T10:16:00.000-05:002008-02-16T10:16:00.000-05:00Didn't Molly Ringwald pop off and work in France f...Didn't Molly Ringwald pop off and work in France for a few years? I seem to remember that being mentioned when she popped up for a stint in Caberet a few years back.

I never saw Sixteen Candles, but I loved loved loved The Breakfast Club.

Have a great weekend Kitty.fishwithoutbicyclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12071691302805126529noreply@blogger.com
