Big Green Monster, in Midtown

Teletubby, Midtown NYC

Everyone has a gimmick, methinks.

A Teletubby was seen handing out fliers for a deli in Midtown. I suppose the Teletubby wasn't too busy lulling young children into submission.

I was going to write that Teletubbies are an American phenomenon, except they aren't. According to Wikipedia, these guys originated in the UK and have been seen all over the place.

I think Teletubbies are horrible. No way would I even go to that deli

My eldest niece had a Teletubbies phase when she was barely speaking. So did all the kids her age and none of us adults could understand why. The Barney phenomenon is the same. I guess they see something we don't.

Strange scene to see in a busy city street.

Every adult thinks that the Teletubbies are annoying (which is true), but every little kid loves them (as my younger son used to), so if our kids stay for a while very quiet, checking that strange group doing silly things, for us parents it is ok!

That must be an OLD costume..I don't think Teletubbies are on TV anymore..Or do they never go away! :)

You have to admire this guy. Walking around in that costume. I'm sure I wouldn't. Great shot!

yeah, my daughter's toddler-hood pre-dated teletubbies, though I'm familiar through friends' kids. i actually sorta liked them. didn't they not speak? that was nice. and wasn't there a giant rabbit on a grassy knoll? I liked that, too.

great shot, kitty.

When «Louis» lived in France, they were popular there, too. «Louis» never understood why they were popular...

That is the slimmest Teletubby I have ever seen! With a few adjustments the other guy could be a giant fly. Would they be friends? I am sure they would...teletubbies love everyone/thing right?!?!
