Photo by myself in Chelsea, around 15th Street and 10th Avenue.
The gallery district is made up of large warehouses, whose open floor plans and large elevators are perfect for displaying art.
There are some cobblestone streets left in this area, as well as historic brick details and connector bridges, as shown above.
Much too tired tonight to post anything, folks.
Thank goodness it's Friday. TGIF to all!

The covered walkway between the buildings almost resembles and old trolley or railroad car. I never get down to that part of town. Great pic!
ReplyDeleteI love how ornate the connector portion is! And Morty's right - it looks like a trolley car!

I've never seen this part of Manhattan. I thought it was Brooklyn at first.
ReplyDeleteThat walkway attaching the two buildings is really neat? Do you have many of them there?
ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few of these pedestrian bridges in Manhattan (Bloomingdales, Tribeca, and the ugly one around 25th or 24th street between 5th and 6th Aves. but this is by far the most beautiful. And it's beautifully framed!
ReplyDeleteHey, Morty said what I came to say! That the "unispan," or whatever they're calling it, looks like an old trolley car.
ReplyDeleteCool shot!
looks like an interesting place to live... in a 300 sqm loft... :-)
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Bridge of Sighs, second was an old rail car. Very interesting design.
