Italian Ice, East Village

Italian ices
Photo by myself in the East Village, around 2nd Avenue and St. Mark's Place.

This fellow quite enjoyed being in my viewfinder.

It's getting to be too late in the season to have Italian ice. New York is going through an early cold spell. Brisk winds are sending everyone into their Fall wardrobe.

Brrrr!

Happy Friday, everyone.

hummm....les glaces italiennes sont les meilleures (après celle de chez berthillon sur l'ile saint louis) attention au régime (enfin pour moi).

We have very cold mornings and hot afternoons. It is the weather we always call, "Fall." The time when we change our clocks back. Which is, by the way, an obsolete thing. We don't have that many farmers or farm kids bringing in the harvest or saving on electricity.

I actually turned on the heat today for the briefest of moments. Just enough to cut some of the cold and damp in the house. I'm not sure I'm ready for sweaters and scarves yet. On the other hand, I'm not sure I want Italian ice either!

Great picture!

Aha, you are right! But which one is the happiest? The one inside the shop looks like he is waving at you. And the one of the left, is giving you a perfect spontaneous pose.

Brrr indeed!

Sigh. Autumn in New York. Maybe one of these days I'll get there.
