On Street Corners in the East Village

Mosaic in the East Village
Photo by myself in the East Village.

A number of lamp posts in the East Village are adorned with hand made mosaics commemorating New York and 9/11.

It's nice to run into these intimate creations accidentally on a street corner.

Hi Kitty!
Yesterday I received - by surprise - the "Blogging Friends Forever" Award for my photography.
According to the rules I can now myself give this award to 5 other bloggers of my choice.
I have chosen your blog as I like your development and curiosity.
Please visit my blog and you will see your name among the 5 in question. Then it will be your turn to give the award yourself to 5 other bloggers of your choice, according to the rules you will find indicated there!
Greetings from Ystad!

I love mosaics and I also like hunting things down or coming upon them, if you know what I mean. Actually you probably don't. But my children and I often indulge in finding the posts in our city that have animal carvings on the top - there are lots of them dotted about but there seems to be no rhyme nor reason to why they are in particular places. But it is rather nice.
