All A-Shiver on the Streets

Cold Weather, NYC

It is cold outside and will only become colder. Temperatures are dropping along the week. By Friday it will be 15 degrees Farenheit, with the wind chill making it feel like 15 degrees below zero.

Time to dig out the long johns!

j'aime bien cette photo b&w, un instant dans la vie pressée des New-Yorkais.

I like this picture b&w, a moment in the life-pressed New Yorkers.

It does look cold.

I am sitting here in shorts with the windows open, feeling quite sympathetic for those who need heating!

The B&W makes it look like the 50's. It's been freezing here in Canada.

That's cold... but drop the temp about 20 degrees and add two feet of snow and it'd look like wisconsin. home sweet home!!

You mention long johns, but for starters, the woman in the foreground of your shot needs a serious coat. Here in Chicago, the high tomorrow is going to be -1ºF, with wind chills of 30 below. That's cold enough that even Chicagoans will notice.

And I thought, looking at the forecast for the rest of the week here in London - 'Huh! You've got it bad, eh? Well what about us? We're going down to $ degrees at the weekend! You soft Yanks!'

Then I realsied you said Farenheit, not Celcius...

Er, that was supposed to say '5 degrees', btw.
