Selling Grapes on Canal Street

Canal Street, NYC
Photo by myself on Canal Street in Chinatown.

Mark and I went to Chinatown in Manhattan this weekend for dim sum. On our way we encountered several street vendors selling the biggest red grapes I've ever seen. Where are these grown when it's 15 degrees outside?

On Monday, New York was hit with a big snowstorm. After much hooplah we wound up getting 10+ inches of snow.

Everyone on the subway Monday morning looked like they were extras in a snowstorm movie, with big swatches of snow on their shoulders and backs.

Brrrrr!

Wow! You guys really got hit! We were bracing for a foot or more, but ended up with just 6 or so.

And they sell them at night too! It never stops: they bring lamps over their booth.

That remark made me laugh sooo loud. Don't ask me why.

Anyway....love your daily pics a lot!!

Makes for a little bit of summer on a cold day. Great to have a vendor with the courage to buy and resell such merchandise. Nice photo and capture of a street moment. (Enjoy your blog!)
