Serious Fun, in Bryant Park

Chess in Bryant Park
Photo by myself in Bryant Park, around 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue.

What looked like a serious game of chess took place among a motley assortment of strangers in Bryant Park.

The nice thing is that this entertainment is free!

Hi Kitty.
We also have a park in Curitiba where old gentlemen get together to play cards, domino and a few of them chess.
I think it is a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

This is big city life at its best - you never know who you can meet. And the encounters often are very stimulating - all in their unlikeliness!

I love that the intensity of the players is matched by that of the observers. Nice shot, Kitty!
