Photo by myself in Rockfeller Plaza, at 50th Street and Fifth Avenue.
Large illuminated sculptures in the shape of angels line the plaza at Rockefeller Center. Benches are located underneath for the weary.
The snowflakes in the background are actually across the street, along Fifth Avenue. They are suspended from the facade of the department store, Saks Fifth Avenue. The snowflakes are made with energy conscious LED bulbs.

les celebres anges du Rockfeller, un angle original
What a gorgeous picture...
Those people in the photo don't look like they are wearing enough for December, is the heat wave continuing in NYC? I thought I read that a winter storm was heading your way this weekend. Good luck with that and have a wonderful time over the holidays!!
Thanks Olivier and RedCafe!
Hi Fish
You're observant! The photo was taken a week or so ago, when we were having a brief wave of warmer weather.
Right now it is rather cold, depending on whether the wind is blowing. You're good to be away!
The twinkling snowflakes with the music on Saks Fifth Avenue are my husband's favorite. NYC is magical this time of year. This photo makes me homesick...in a good way.
