Napping in Midtown

Asleep on the street
Photo by myself somewhere in Midtown.

A fellow in full dress napped on the sidewalk, one recent afternoon.

He is carrying a plastic bag, the type given out by many shops. The bag bears the "I *heart* NY'" logo, which was designed by the famed Milton Glaser, an illustrator and graphic designer.

I bet he got drunk, didn't he?
It is also familiar scene at big cities in Japan...

Yes, a sight too often stumbled upon in big cities. He does look nicely dressed; too much so to have chosen such an awful spot for a snooze.

Milton Glaser was a friend of mine when the I ♥ NY came out. He did it but never thought it would catch on and so he never bothered to patent it. He regrets that down to this very day.

I wonder if this is the continuation from the night before.... he's seems too dressed to be homeless. I like the colours though!

That "I heart NY" stuff really is all over the place over there. My hubby forbid me from getting one... as if I was!

I just loved loved loved your city, lovely Miss Kitty! Hope to be back sooner than later;)

This could be on almost any street in San Francisco.

(sigh)

«Louis» didn't know that Milton Glaser designed that logo.

You would wonder how many people do "sleep that sleep" over here. Please have a nice Tuesday.
