Photo by myself in Washington Square Park, in the Village.
It's been icky and drippy recently in the city.
At times it feels like Spring, but within a few hours the temperature drops. If there were ever a time to fall sick, it is now.
On the subway, you hear sneezes and coughs. Some people dislike holding onto the center pole with their hands because of germs. Germaphobes lean their bodies against the center pole, or hook their arms around the pole...anything to avoid what is touched by dozens of strangers every day.
Some people don't hold onto anything and wind up bouncing against other passengers as a result.

belle photo de rue, avec la lumiere sur l'arche
Nice that Arc de Triomphe . Little Paris in the big city. Don't catch a cold and thanks for showing.
weather is changing quickly there huh? Crazy!... cheers, beatrice
Rather phobic not to hold center poles. Falling down is better? You have no life when you start thinking that way.
I try to avoid anyone spluttering or wheezing, unless its me! I too like the little bit of Paris in NYC.
Ah, yes, the cold and flu season has commenced on the Left Coast, too...
Lovely image, Kitty.
Great street photo!
A great shot and a beautiful blog. Wonderful work.
(visited NY for 10 days in October - loved it)
Hi Kitty! Very nice picture of the square with my name!
People bouncing against other people to avoid germs! Sounds funny!
I've spent the earlier part of this week sick in bed with the cold my husband still has! I wash my hands all the time but some viruses are just in the air.
I love this shot of Washington Square Park Kitty.
A nicely shiny shot, but when you know it's a cold northern rain, it loses its charm, at least for me. Ditto any charm the subway might have held for me . . .
Great shot. Reminds of the old Chicago song, "Another Rainy Day In New York City." Your blog is great.
Darryl and Ruth :)
Love the shot - wonderful light!
Nice capture!
Thanks everyone.
So glad you all enjoyed this!!
