Barber Shop, Brooklyn

Barber Shop, Brooklyn
Photo by myself around 47th Street and 4th Avenue, in Brooklyn.

In parts of Brooklyn, there are several barber shops on a block. These are places for guys to sit and hang out.

Mark and I were in the area for Vietnamese food in neighboring Chinatown.

Nice one Kitty. Did you not feel a bit afraid by so much muscle or was it from the back of a cab.

There is not much to "barber" at the boys, they are almost bold!

I was strolling on the sidewalk and these guys were friendly.

Hi Bieb!
Yes, one too many visits to the barber, I guess. ha.

I just found your blog, by chance, and learnt something that made me so sad. Big Nick is closing! We go to NYC every year – last year we went twice, fall and spring, and we stay in the Upper West Side. We always have at least a couple of meals at Big Nick – and now it is closing… what a shame. I guess the owners needed the space. It is the same here in Atlanta, Dante Down the Hatch, a restaurant with jazz in business for 43 years, had to close last month because the owners wanted to build condos and raised the rent by 100%. It is not “chercher la femme” in this country, it is “chercher l’argent” (translation, it’s not “find the woman” but “find the money” here in this country…)

Male bonding for sure. Is that the Giants' offensive line?
