Photo by myself before the Fuerzabruta show in Union Square.
The audience was bathed in red light before the performance. Music thumped and we were left to look about, chit chat or display affection publicly.
Last weekend, Mark and I visited the Boston Terrier puppy we intend to adopt. He is really, really adorable.
He's only a couple months old now, and we'll be bringing him home for good in mid-October. Right now we're facing the name dilemma.
We've been kicking around a lot of options and have narrowed it down to Rupert, Wyatt or Virgil, although other names keep popping up. I prefer more flamboyant names like Enrique, Pepe and Roberto.
We've considered Wendell, Lionel, Ziggy, Brutus and Reggie. There's Amos and Maurice and Newman and Steve. Suggestions welcomed for names!
I love all animals, and have an immense guilt complex about animals out there in shelters or without homes. I hate to single out any one...but this little face is absolutely adorable, no?
With the climate these days both economic and environmental, what the world needs are more puppies and hugs.

I fully agree on puppies and hugs! I think he'd be an adorable Rupert, retro and vogue at the same time, just like any self-respecting New York dog should be;)
hi there
Really nice shots and I love the lighting in here.
Regarding the question you post to me earlier, I will write my response here.
The graphs do not mean anything if there is no reference point to compare with. So the graphs you see was in comparison to Nikon 200 f2.
In general, there are major two factors I look into. One is MTF chart from centre to corners; the other would be CA control. These two parametres matter to me a lot.
When I buy a lens, I would browse through most of the review sites for the graphs.
I would google the sample images by reputable photographers or you already know friends who are real life photographers that actually take photos. These user exerpience are more reliable than the socalled on line review sites.
I trust photozone a lot since we all know each other to a degree. Join fora and get to know the community. Very often, these are more helpful to get the right lens. I sometimes get bargain second hand lenses just by making yourself known.
I do not blog much but I spend a lot of time on fora.
Hi Susu!
lol, I didn't think how stylish a name Rupert was. Style matters!
Mark is quite attached to that name. We'll see.
Hi James
Thanks so much for your response. I have been looking at a wide angle lens for a while but don't feel I've mastered my current one yet.
I love your images, they are truly, truly superb.
That little guy is adorable. I just want to give him a big smoochey smooch. I love the way puppies smell! I am voting for STEVE.
My vote is for Rupert. SUCH a face! he's gonna lick you to DEATH!
Oh my goodness. I could die from the cuteness.
I say he looks like a Ziggy to me. The Big Zig.

"The first step,
I want to make the first move.
I know it is not.
Yet I
Whether she comes to me,
Because, you see, I dare not
Look how
To see, to please
The approach, to talk,
And do not rush,
He said words of love
Without knowing in return
If she love me
Or deny this first step. "Claude-Michel Schoenberg

Oh - this is just such a great shot! You show amazing stuff - but I must admit that I love your pictures with people the most. It's like being there.
Thank you so much for sharing - it makes me miss your suoer city a tiny tiny bit less.

What an adorable puppy! Lucky you. And lucky puppy! I vote for Rupert or Roberto.
Aww, he's a keeper! He's adorable!!
I like names that are amusing or too serious for a dog. So I'd go for Virgil in your selection. Or Socrates. Although, if you are looking for a NY name I'd suggest Pastrami, Pickles or Pretzel. ;)
This is great.
It looks like a scene out of a Stanley Kubrick film.
& Roentarre, Kitty is right, your photos are awe inspiring.
Congratulations Kitty on your impending new addition! I like Roberto. Did you ever see the movie Grand Canyon? There is a whole story within that story about why the Dad names his son Roberto that made me love that name ever since. Plus I had a really nice boss named Roberto once.
PS
Don't worry about the name too much because with a dog as cute as he, he will undoubtedly have numerous nicknames.
Aww, he's so adorable! We just went through the naming process for our two kittens and man it was hard. In the end we named them Penny & Peanut, Penny for the girl and Peanut for the boy.
My vote goes to Rupert or Wyatt :)
I favour Rupert or Virgil.
What a gorgeous dog. If I saw him I would have to take him home with me.
I personally like Hector as a dog's name. In fact I wanted to call one of my sons Hector but I was not allowed!!!
I just love this photo... powerful... the light, the scene, everything...
This photo is very cool! Looks like they are inside a photo room!
Oh my gosh, what a cute pup!!
