Eco-Friendly, Cardboard Design

Cardboard store, Lafayette Street
Photo by myself on West Broadway.

There was a sale going on outside this store in Soho. Taking up the ecological theme, Cardboard Design sells objects made from recycled paper.

They say there's a market for everything, and there's a huge variety of stores on New York.

You can get cheap stuff and expensive stuff, second hand stuff and stuff in the wee hours. You can get sample stuff that was worn only once on the runway.

And of course you can find loads of design stores selling the latest in material or technology. Even new stuff made out of old stuff.

Click here for the Cardboard Design site. They have some nifty kids things. Both the rocket and house are priced around $75.

Nice initiative, if everyone of us did only one eco-friendly thing a day, the world would be a better place...

Oh now I so want to go to that store. Is it really expensive cardboard stuff I wonder?

Now I simply MUST run down to this store. I was on West Broadway just last weekend too! I like their chairs and tables. Cool!

Homes for the homeless?

hey everyone
I'm glad people enjoyed the photo. I was doubtful before posting.

I think this is a relatively new store. I never noticed it either until last weekend. I didn't get to look at their prices, but there are prices on the website.

Their decorative objects are neat, too. They'd make great gifts.

I'm pretty sure there's an awning, too. Hopefully more people will notice this store - it has to compete with a hodge podge of stores nearby.

I saw a tricycle made of Cardbord in TV.
It is so tough rather than we think.

I have bookmarked this post. I'd love to see their cardboard furniture up close. I'm not a green maniac but I think it's such a fun way to play with materials.
