Salvaged from the World Trade Center

World Trade Center CrossPhoto by myself of the World Trade Center cross, located steps away from the site of the World Trade Center.

This cross was left standing within the debris of the 9/11 tragedy. Now salvaged, it will join other items in the future World Trade Center museum.

Seen above, the cross was erected temporarily near the Trade Center building site. It is a quiet tribute to the victims of 2001.

After being exposed to the chicken pox virus a couple months ago, I was tested by my doctor. She told me that I was immune.

In the last few days, though, one little bump on my head led to another.

Could it be bed bugs? Mark looked at the bumps on my head carefully, then backed away, as if I had the plague. Even the dog looked at me funny.

But now there's no denying it. I am covered in red dots. Aargh!!

Fortunately I have some photos in my stash to post. This pair is both inspiring and sad.

Awww! So sorry about the chicken pox. I got it at an older age, as a college student when I was baby sitting a kid who'd been exposed to it. Truly sucks. To this day, I have one scar as a reminder of the pox. Anywho, I survived. You will, too. ;-)

Sending good thoughts,
Paz

No doubt those are sad pictures but necessary to remind us all how sometimes human can act as monsters. I still remember where I was and with whom I was talking to at that exact moment.

I like your humor. You are able to make fun of a not so funny situation! It is a good key to live longer!

That cross is amazing. The odds of that happening by chance are slim to none. A sign from God for sure. It seems like it happened so long ago. I have new
Montauk Pictures I took this summer. They are not all up yet though.

I hope you get well soon. That cross is wonderful and sad. I still remember what I was doing on 9/11 (like almost every adult).

So sorry to hear about the chicken pox!! Have heard other adults say it's miserable but glad to see you've been to the doctor.

Lovely photo, very poignant...
