Is it Art? on the Lower East Side

A bike cozy, on the Lower East Side
Photo by myself on Essex and Rivington Streets, on the Lower East Side.

Not the greatest photo, but one I just had to show you. Someone with a lot of time and yarn on their hands made either a bike warmer, or a work of art.

I have to wonder what the non-covered bike thought to itself. Was it jealous? or relieved its owner doesn't have knitting needles?

A bike cozy! that is GENIUS! I'm sure the naked bike was all twisted up about it's fate!

Hi Kitty. This is a strange thing to do, whatever reason!

Hey! My blog in Portuguese completed a year. Your blog was my inspiration for this adventure and I remember that you were the first person to visit it and to leave a comment. I must say that it has been a rewarding experience.

very funny Kitty - you have a wonderful imagination.
I would say this is definitely art, if only because it was made by someone who was compelled to create and with much passion too.

Looks fabulous! As long as the yarn doesn't catch on things as you ride away. Then you'll end up with a nude bike again! ;-)

Interesting indeed. Makes one wonder about what one spends time taking care of.
Please have a nice Thursday.

I've seen scarfs knitted for trees, but not pajamas for bikes.

What a fun and artsy bike cover creation! I find it particularly interesting as I knit and crochet. My wife, 2 of our 3 daughters and my mother all knit!
Fun to catch up on your blog at 3 am - I can't sleep right now. Zut alors!
