Parked in NoHo

Parking, NYC
Photo by myself on Lafayette and Bond Streets, in Noho.

As in most cities, when space is an issue, the solution is building up. That goes for a parking lot, too.

Happy Friday, everyone!

I wouldn't want to be in it when it goes up!

I wonder what is the decision for up and down parking. Up only from 8 to 6 pm and down after 8 and before 6 ? Otherwise you have got a problem I think.

Hi RedPat!
To this day I haven't seen these mechanisms go up or down yet. I have to wonder what it's like.

Hi SC
Good point! I think the cars on the top are longer term parking and the ones on the bottom are short term. The parking attendants have the keys, so they do all the moving in and out.

I saw this in Newark a while back. Couldn't believe it. It's good that you continue to see these small details of NY life, even though you've been there awhile.
