I spotted three young women sitting on the steps of the New York Public Library a while ago.
I loved how they were dressed and should have asked what the occasion was. They graciously allowed me to take their photo.

Even though you asked permission the photo still looks very candid.
They all look good. And dress in an individual style. I'd probably have gone for three separate portraits.
