A Blanket of Snow, in Prospect Park

Snowy Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Photo by myself in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Contrary to the well-known book, more than one tree grows in Brooklyn. This shot was taken after our last snowfall.

Over the last couple days, we must have gotten 16 inches or so. The snowdrifts are enormous. Good luck digging your car out!

A Touch of Nature, in Prospect Park, Fall Foliage, in Prospect Park and Off Leash, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Oh wow, it looks so lovely. It's a shame it has to melt and go slushy and grubby eventually. Such a pity it can't be there one minute and just be gone the next without the nasty inbetween stage.

I think we're finished with snow for this winter... not that we get so much of it anyway...
It must be so romantic there!

It does look very pretty and relatively unspoiled. I haven't ventured up to Central Park to see the snow yet, I'm a little put off after that poor man was killed by a falling tree branch :-(

I love this foto. We going to NY next friday, hope it will be easy to get there. Can you post a picture of Central park in snow, am so curious to see what that looks like!

Hi RB
I agree, the slush is no fun, and so un-photogenic. I wish there were heat lamps installed to rid us of the unsightly mess.

Thanks Lewi14!

Hi Valeria
Ooh you're lucky. Why is it I feel this winter will go on forever?

When it's not windy, the winter is quite nice. The wind and chill is no fun - everyone for themselves!

Hi Fish!
I heard. How awful. What a completely freak accident? Mark and I were in Prospect Park yesterday and were tip toeing around because of it. So tragic.

Hi Sylvia
Oh, enjoy your trip!!! I truly hope Spring is on the way, for you...it felt like it, yesterday.

I'll try and get over to Central Park this week! I must say it is rather pretty there, with the bridges and pathways.
