Wonder, 34th Street

Wonder
Photo by myself around 34th Street and Sixth Avenue, in Midtown.

Just steps away from the Empire State Building, I spotted some visitors just getting their bearings. They probably just climbed out from the subway station.

Since the Empire State Building is tall, it's better to see it from a few blocks away.

It's easy to become jaded from living in a city: you are bombarded by people and traffic and stuff everyday on the streets. It's different than experiencing life from the protected interior of a car. It's nice to see some real emotion once in a while.

I remember getting off the subway at the Christopher Street station and coming face to face with the Duplex. I knew it was in the area, but not that close, the same for the Village Cigar shop.

I love Dorothy's Ruby slippers! I wonder if she's from Kansas?!

Pinktop's expression is perfect! And it's good that a guy stands between her and the other star-struck dude--less "perfect" and predictable that way.

I've only been to NY twice. I can't imagine getting used to it, but I'm sure you must, or you'd never get anything done!

I love that girl in the red shoes, she looks as if she's just walked out of Sex and the City.. (sorry, that's my main reference to NYC)
