Photo by myself on Fifth Avenue and 28th Street.
A tour bus filled with people in cow costumes roared down Fifth Avenue.
Apparently, Friday was Cow Appreciation Day. Those who went to a Chick-fil-A restaurant dressed as a cow received a free meal.
The cows were holding signs saying 'Eat Mor Chikin.' Mark and I were waiting to cross the street, Friday afternoon. He gave me a shout 'Cows on a bus, comin'! Cows on a bus, comin'! Get your camera!!!'
I wonder whether we'll be hearing from the Chicken side soon?

I'm imagining a marketing department somewhere filled with people dressed as bees, all busy trying to get some "buzz".
why doesn't anyone think of eating more veggies? I mean, where is the busload of humans dressed as vegetables? LOL.
another great photo Kitty.
"sigh" Probably not, chickens are known to be passive aggressive...
I bet they were roasted after getting off the bus.

Love NYC and love your blog!
Hi Douglas
ha. Not sure I'd enjoy wearing a costume for work. Seems very hot.
Hi Lily
I agree, veggies are the underdogs, if you will. We're too meat-oriented!
Ha Elsiee!
Hi Sciveners...I hope not!
Thanks Debra and welcome :-)
Brilliant, funny photo!
Love the lady standing in the crosswalk - you can almost feel her: "what the ... ?" : )
Nice...
In the end Cow Appreciation Day became the smart brainchild of the Chik-Fil-A agency, developing the tale of the daring cow to encourage human beings to skip their preferred burger joint, and Cheap Custom Printed T Shirts are available to their local Chik-Fil-A as a substitute. Little did humans know that indulging in this bit of fanciful party might introduce them to a essential reality about speedy food.
