From Under the Banner, in Chinatown

Chinatown, NYC

Another photo from my time watching the Lunar New Year celebration in Chinatown.

Older ladies carried large banners and marched ahead of the dragons, that day. As you can see, the sidewalks were crowded and there were still heaps of snow in the gutter.

It's been a tough week. Days have been spent slugging it out at work. At night, Mark and I vegetate on the sofa, our eyeballs glued to the Olympics.

It's been a treat to watch these amazing athletes rather than our usual fare of reality shows, sitcoms and movies. Snowboarding and figure skating are our favorites.

I prefer the Winter games over Summer ones. How about you?

Lost in the Crowd, Mass Mentality and We the People.

I love this perspective, I feel like I'm inside the crowd. & you've captured that teenager's nice smile too.
I rarely watch regular TV but I am so glad I did not miss the women skiing the other night. I still can't get over the fact that they walked away from their crashes.

I worked in the last edition, the Olimpic Games of Turin, my hometown: great experience! My favourite: ice skating.

Nice shot!
My wife became an enthusiastic of the winter games. I found the Speed Skating and the Figure Skating fantastic. It is a pitty that we brazilians have no one to cheer for!

I like the little girl behind the banner in her daddy's arm.
I hope I'll see NYC under the snow one day.
I prefer the winter games too but that's beacause I live in the alps.
